Effective April 14, 2003 all medical groups and other healthcare entities must be in compliance with the Privacy Rule provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), a federal law designed to safeguard confidential patient information. Contained here for your review is our “Notice of Privacy Practices ”(click here). Please read it carefully as it contains important information about how we will use and disclose your protected health information. We are also required to seek a signed acknowledgement from you the first time you come to our office on or after April 14, 2003. By signing, you are simply acknowledging that we have notified you of our privacy practices. We encourage you to download a copy of our “Notice of Privacy Practices” for your records.
