An Atlanta native, Dr. Johnson graduated from Spelman College in 1991 with a Bachelors of Science degree in biology and biochemistry.  She obtained her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1995. She completed her OB-GYN residency at Boston University in 1999, where she was the Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Johnson first practiced as a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School for 2 years before returning to Atlanta, where she joined Atlanta Women’s Specialists in 2001.

Dr. Johnson is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.  She is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and National Vulvodynia Association. She has served as Chairman of the Northside Hospital Perinatal Services Committee and is Chairman of the Quality Assurance Committee for the Atlanta Womens Health Group.  She also serves on the Quality Improvement Committee for Northside Hospital.

Dr. Johnson delivers babies and performs routine gynecologic procedures, but specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic procedures with the Da Vinci robot. She has a focus on robotic fibroid surgeries and chronic pelvic pain therapies.

Dr. Johnson and her family volunteer regularly in the community.  She has served on the Board of Directors and Medical Advisory Board for the Eating Disorders Information Network (EDIN).  She enjoys baking, gardening, and yoga.
